The Assimilation of Distant Attunements - A Teachers Perspective

This post has been written and re-written several times over the years with this newest post taking me several days to write because it is one of the hardest things that I have had to write. I truly believe that everyone has the right to work with attunements in alignment with how they accept an attunement but as a spiritual teacher, I do feel that it is my responsibility to make sure I teach students about the correct and mature way in which attunements should be received.

The time it takes to receive an attunement and then to allow the energies to assimilate within the consciousness is a hot topic within the online attunement community because each teacher will have their thoughts about this subject. At the Academy and with over 20 years of experience, I teach that there must be several days between the acceptance of each attunement in order for each person to receive the best possible outcome from the energies they are receiving. Unfortunately, not everyone listens to this guidance or they just ignore it thinking that they can handle 2, 3, 4 or even more attunements in one day or they will take them one after another on consecutive days with no gaps. They then wonder why they experience adverse reactions such as intense clearings, stomach upsets, nausea, flu symptoms or even worse, they wonder why the energies are not being felt and why the attunements are not working in the way they expected. I have also heard some state that they are advanced spiritual healers so they can handle multiple attunements at one time or on consecutive days but if they were advanced in their spiritual practices and have worked with energy regularly, they would be mature enough to know that this is not the way to work with attunements. They would understand that something as precious as an attunement which is going to completely change their lives should be respected and honoured. The one thing that I have always said to people is if the holiest of people or the reincarnation of an Ascended Master came to the Academy for an attunement, I would still tell them that they need to leave time between their attunements for the energies to assimilate correctly within their etheric background.

Since I first started to work as a Spiritual Teacher, I have seen the sacredness of attunements fall away only to be taken over with the fast-paced world that we live in where people now see attunement websites and teaching academies as a one-stop supermarket where they can pick up what they want, pay for it, accept the attunement and ask for a certificate, then expect the attunement to do the work for them without putting in any time, energy or effort to study the information that is given within the manuals or work with the energies through meditation and self-healing. It is easy to discover the people who do this when they ask a question that they would know the answer to if they had read the manual. Some people need to realise that they must take a step back because the world of spiritual maturity and ascension does not work this way. When someone takes on an attunement, the energies will flow into the body through the higher self resulting in an overhaul of the chakras and aura which in turn causes these energy centers to enter into a state of flux. This means they will become unbalanced for a certain period and will therefore need time to settle. This is why as teachers; we ask you to work with the energies by self-healing for several days or even weeks after the attunement has been received. This allows the spiritual body time to settle while also giving the energies of the attunements time to settle within the etheric background.

There is a great way to view this process that I would like to share within you now:

The Radio

Imagine you have an old-fashioned radio in front of you with large circular dials that you need to turn to find the right radio station. As you turn the dials, the frequencies will fluctuate as you try to find the station you are looking for. If only one dial is used, you will find the right station pretty fast and the sound will be crisp and clear. If, however, you try using 2 dials at the same time, you will only find static and it will be impossible to find the station you are looking for. The same principle also applies to accepting attunements, if you take on too many attunements at the same time, by accepting several at the same time, several in one day or several over consecutive days, you are turning too many dials at the same time, so you won't be able to find the right channel {frequency} you are looking to tap into. You can also overload the radio which will cause it to stop working altogether. Again, the same thing can apply to the spiritual body. If you take on too much at one time, your spiritual body will say "NO" and will stop working. You will then find that your body will need time to heal which can take several days, weeks or even months before you are energetically ready to start again. If you continue to ignore your body and continue to take on too many attunements, even during this CRISIS period, your higher self will step in and it will STOP all energies from entering.

One of the most severe effects of taking on too many attunements at the same time is called a "De-Attunement". A de-attunement is when your higher self prevents any future attunements from being assimilated. This can also include the complete removal of recent attunements being removed. Energy is intelligent and attunements work with the higher self, not the conscious mind so if your higher self feels that you are not taking things seriously or you are acting in an immature way, it will close up shop until it feels that you are ready to start again. This often results in a feeling of being disconnected from the energies or not feeling the energies like you used to so if you are experiencing a loss of sensation or are wondering why you are not feeling the attunements like you use to, ask yourself if you have been overdoing things with accepting too many attunements at one time.

Final Note

There are some teachers out there who only care about $$ and will encourage their students to take multiple attunements at the same time because in their mind if the student does this, they will come back quickly to buy more from them, resulting in the teacher making more money. This is not how I work, and it never will be. I would rather know that my students are taking their time and are working with the attunements maturely so they can get the most from them. I have been working with attunements for over 21 years and I still sometimes take weeks or even months to call in an attunement. If I have multiple attunements to receive, I will quite often take months to receive them.
